For music geeks like myself, one of the hassles of packing for a trip used to be deciding which CDs to bring for my Discman. With the advent of high-capacity MP3 players, that is thankfully a thing of the past. Surviving Christmas Shopping

Christmas shopping for most Filipinos is not retail therapy. It requires a pair of strong legs, keen eyes and a single-minded determination to get what you want in so little time and sometimes, on a limited budget.

For many Filipinos, shopping for Christmas gifts can be a nightmare but there are those who actually enjoy the experience.

So what o you do if you’re one of those who look at Christmas shopping as a chore instead of something to look forward to? Strategize!

Here are some ways to make that experience less excruciating and more
pleasurable:

Wear comfortable shoes. Flip flops and strappy sandals are not comfortable. They will chafe the skin of your feet within an hour and you’ll end up with ugly and painful blisters. Wear trainers or well-fitting walking shoes as you’ll be on your feet for hours.

Ideally, you should be weafin socks as they protect the feet. Remember at the malls and bazaars are very crowded and someone could step on you so open-toed footwear is a big no-no.

Plan ahead. For Christmas shopping, always have a list and check it. This is not the time for impulse buying. Make a list of people you’re buying presents for and before going to the mall, think about what you will buy for them.
