programs available. They can be a couple of hours
long or several weeks in duration. It should teach
awareness skills, teach verbal skills, teach easy
physical techniques and be used instinctively. |

Yes. It gives you an option when
you find yourself being assaulted or likely to be
assaulted. The more you practice. The easier it
is to use those skills. |

Why a women’s
self-defense program? |

We may all become
victims of an assault. Unfortunately, women, children
and the elderly are at the highest risk. The person
assaulting us may be a stranger or a loved one. |

do I get with learning self-defense? |

None. Anyone of
us can become a target for a predator. However,
self-defense training gives you instinctive, verbal
and physical options. |

Why not just use a gun? |
| A |
You may be able to use a weapon.
However, you must practice with those weapons and
be justified in using them. You have the right to
defend yourself, but there are legal issues if the
force used is excessive. |
